ANA Chile® tells us about the new varieties that will be launched in 2025

To talk about the new varieties making their debut in Chile, we contacted Lorena Pinto, product manager of ANA Chile. Among the new varieties still in the testing phase is Nipama, which will be placed 3 to 5 days before Nimba, which is harvested between weeks 44 and 45.

ANA Chile, a leading Chilean company in global fruit variety management, launched this cherry on the Asian market. In 2023, the company sold 2.4 million plants to local producers, extending cultivation to over 2,200 hectares in Chile.

On 20 December in the area of Río Claro, in the region of Maule, a trial of the new varieties Sweet Saretta® and Sweet Stephany® was visited with fruits close to harvest, which showed a size of around 30 mm and soluble solids around 20°brix.

The Boni Silvano and Ezio farm is a family-run business located in the municipality of Affi (Verona, Italy), near Lake Garda. The farm has 5 hectares of cherry production, divided between early, medium and late varieties, with a production exceeding 40 tonnes per year.
