Data collected by Frutas de Chile reveals who the top 10 Chilean cherry exporters are through the sixth week of the 2023/2024 season. The country's leading cherry exporter was once again Garcés Fruit with 7,827,058 boxes shipped, a decrease of 7.9% compared to the previous season.

It was followed by Copefrut with 5,719,579 boxes exported (-6%) and Dole Chile, which exported 4,407,969 million boxes (-8.7%), according to a note published in Redagrícola.

Another of the details that caught the attention of the country's top exporters is that Verfrut recorded a 45.7% growth in its shipments, from 1,518,065 boxes in the 2022/2023 season to 2,211,344 boxes in the 2023/2024 season.

The top 10 cherry exporters in Chile accounted for 42% of total shipments this year, with 34,620,193 boxes of the 82,452,392 boxes exported in total.

Up to the sixth week, 82,452,392 five-kilo cases of cherries were exported in the 2023/2024 season, and although this figure is lower than the 83,220,842 cases exported in the 2022/2023 season, the figures are predictable after a difficult year for producers.
