The harvest season has already begun for the Sweet Aryana® PA1UNIBO variety, with operations starting on Monday, October 27 in one of the orchards associated with the exporter Los Olmos, located in the Peumo area, Cachapoal Province, in Chile’s VI Region.

This orchard, grown under plastic covers, shows uniform fruit with an average size of 30 mm, a sugar content of 18° Brix, and firmness above 80 Durofel—features that indicate an excellent performance in international markets.

Quality parameters achieved

Following the agronomic guidelines provided by ANA Chile® — appropriate crop load regulation in adult orchards (10–12 tons/ha) and timely opening of the plastic covers — the necessary sugar, size, and color parameters for harvest in this early window have been met.

This first harvest targeted a fruit color level of 3.5, with early development consistent with growers’ expectations for this variety.

Market positioning

In this way, the farm associated with Exportadora Los Olmos aims to position Sweet Aryana® PA1UNIBO as a strategic option to advance the export window with high-quality, uniform, and well-finished fruit.

This October harvest in Chile’s central region strengthens ANA Chile®’s commitment to the early window, accompanying the successful starts of Nimba and Nipama ES 1952, which also began harvesting this month.

Strategies and opportunities

These varieties stand out for their ability to deliver quality fruit during strategic periods, confirming ANA Chile®’s commitment to providing growers with varietal solutions that offer added value and commercial opportunities.
