It is not common for fruit and vegetable products to surprise us, but there are exceptions: some fruits emerge and capture attention, regardless of the market phase or available quantity, creating a unique market.

Italiafruit spoke enthusiastically about the Sweet Saretta® cherries produced in Piedmont by the company Rivoira. These cherries, with their impressive size, are immediately eye-catching. Moreover, the high-quality packaging developed by the company from Cuneo further enhances them, allowing for individual appreciation.

The cherry season is now in an advanced phase: the novelty effect has faded, and all production areas are trying to gain attention in the Italian markets or to take advantage of the last moments of sales. Apulia is almost at the end of the season, Vignola is almost finished, while the mountain cherries and those from the Piedmont area, like the Sweet Saretta®, are ramping up.

Although the market still offers a wide range of products, to increase perceived quality by consumers, the suggested path is to compete with chocolates.

This is a perfect example of how fruit and vegetables can be ennobled through elegant packaging, transforming them almost into luxury items, similar to jewelry. And all this happens without neglecting sustainability, thanks to the use of corrugated cardboard packaging.
