Water is the connecting bridge between the plant and the soil through root activity, allowing roots to extract nutrients from the soil solution.

But it also performs other important physiological functions, such as cooling, which will always be a priority for the plant. In addition, water is the main mechanism for transporting oxygen in the soil, vital for both the roots and the soil microbiology.

Besides its fundamental role in hydration, it also enables the transport of ascending and descending hormones within the plant.

Irrigation

Given the importance of water in plant physiology, proper irrigation management throughout the season is essential.

Irrigation must have high hydraulic load, with the goal of providing the soil with an adequate balance between water and oxygen, since irrigation influences both plant cooling and respiration.
