Types of Cracking

Due to the ongoing climate changes of recent years, we are increasingly facing rainy springs or rainfall events close to or during harvest. Therefore, it is essential to implement strategies to reduce fruit cracking damage. I suggest the following:

Peduncular cracking: may occur with light rainfall up to 5 mm and is caused by water accumulation at the pedicel insertion area.
