Battistini Vivai offers Giant Red, Royal Helen and Ferdouce. Three cherry varieties with different ripening times to optimise profitability, quality and resistance.
At the conference in Montecchia di Crosara in the province of Verona, a large and attentive audience of more than 200 local cherry producers had the opportunity to listen to four presentations that outlined the main challenges affecting the choices of farmers and cherry producers.
In the first presentation, Stefano Lugli outlined the process of choosing a variety and provided farmers with the criteria with which to evaluate their investment choice, as well as offering an overview of the main new varieties available from international breeding programmes.
