The Chilean company Giddings-Cerasus closed the 2023-24 season once again with the Cerasina varieties 'Final 12.1' and '13.1'. The last batch of Giddings Cerasus cherries sent to the Asian market arrived on 18 March, with over 90 tonnes of product.

Dongjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone reached an agreement with Tianjin Port Group Logistics Co. Ltd. and the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association. Since 16 January, 8,300 tonnes of cherries have arrived at the port of Tianjin to supply the northern markets.

Due to their differentiated quality, these cherries obtained the first Denomination of Origin of the province. Furthermore, the cherries produced in Los Antiguos are the last to be harvested in the southern hemisphere, in the period between December and mid-February.
